Absolute rated cartridges and capsules
Membrane cartridges designed to provide absolute retention of particles and micro-organisms at or above the membranes pore rating. Unlike nominally rated depth filters, membranes can be integrity tested prior to use.
Membrane cartridges are available in a variety of materials and nominal pore sizes. Selection of material and grade are dependant on the intended application. Listed below is a brief outline of major prefilter cartridge types and their properties:
Aqua star CA Single layer pure cellulose acetate membrane filter developed specifically for filtration of mineral water where compliance with HACCP requirements has to be fulfilled. Inert low non-specific protein binding membrane, pH stable range 4-8, can be in-line steamed up to 132 oC. Available in 10, 20, & 30″ elements. Pore size 0.2 um. End caps to suit most industrial housings. Note: only available in cartridge format.
Aqua star PS Polyethersulfone membrane filter developed specifically for filtration of mineral water where compliance with HACCP requirements has to be fulfilled. Inert low non-specific protein binding membrane, pH stable range 1-14, can be in-line steamed up to 132 oC. Available in 10, 20, & 30″ elements. Pore size 0.2 um. End caps to suit most industrial housings. Note: only available in cartridge format.
Sartobran P Pure cellulose acetate membrane filter for filtration of a broad range of pharmaceutical products where compliance with cGMP requirements has to be fulfilled. Heterogenous layers. Inert low non-specific protein binding membrane, pH stable range 4-8, can be in-line steamed or autoclave up to 132 oC. Available in 10, 20, & 30″ elements. Pore sizes 0.45, 0.2 & 0.1 um.
